Description
Cheesy Asiago Chicken Delight is a rich and creamy chicken dish topped with melted Asiago cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Asiago cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) to prepare for baking.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the seasoned chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add heavy cream and Italian seasoning. Stir well, scraping up any browned bits from the pan.
- Gradually mix in the grated Asiago cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
- Place the browned chicken breasts back into the skillet, spooning the creamy sauce over them.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is bubbling.
- Once done, remove from the oven and sprinkle with fresh parsley for color.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving to let the flavors meld.
Notes
- Serve with a side of vegetables or pasta.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
