- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
- ½ cup honey
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions, for garnish
- Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Pour in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and ground ginger. Stir well to combine and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors.
- Remove from heat, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
- Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and drizzle extra sauce on top for enhanced flavor.
