Chicken Diablo: An Amazing Ultimate Spicy & Sweet Chicken Dinner


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup honey
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Start by seasoning the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Pour in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and ground ginger. Stir well to combine and let the sauce simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
  6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the chicken to absorb the flavors.
  7. Remove from heat, and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
  8. Transfer the chicken to a serving platter and drizzle extra sauce on top for enhanced flavor.
