Description

This Cinnamon Brown Sugar Coffee Syrup adds warm cinnamon spice and caramel-like sweetness to your coffee.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 cinnamon sticks (or 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Add brown sugar and water to a small saucepan. Stir in cinnamon sticks (or ground cinnamon) and a pinch of salt.
  2. Place over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves completely.
  3. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally. (Avoid rapid boiling.)
  4. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract if using.
  5. Let cool slightly. Remove cinnamon sticks. If using ground cinnamon, strain through a fine mesh strainer to remove sediment.
  6. Pour into a clean jar or bottle. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
