Condensed Milk Bread Pudding: An Amazing Ultimate Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 cups day-old bread, cubed
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups whole milk
- 4 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ cup sugar (optional, adjust for sweetness)
- ½ cup raisins or chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare Baking Dish: Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.
- Cube Bread: Cut the day-old bread into cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and salt until well combined.
- Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet mixture over the cubed bread. Gently fold to ensure all bread pieces are soaked.
- Add Optional Ingredients: If desired, stir in raisins or chocolate chips for added flavor.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Pour the bread mixture into the prepared baking dish, spreading it evenly.
- Bake: Place in the preheated oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool: Allow the bread pudding to cool for about 15 minutes before serving. This will help it set further.
- Serve Warm: You can enjoy it as is, or with a drizzle of caramel sauce or whipped cream.
