- 1 bunch Asparagus (Trimmed)
- 1 cup Mozzarella Cheese (Or substitute with provolone, fontina, or Gruyère)
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese
- 3 cloves Garlic (Minced)
- 1 cup Heavy Cream (Can substitute with half-and-half)
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley (Chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- Prepare the chicken by patting it dry, then pounding it to an even thickness. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Mix in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, stirring to combine. Simmer until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Arrange the trimmed asparagus in the prepared baking dish, then place the seasoned chicken on top.
- Pour the garlic cream sauce over the chicken and asparagus, then sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes if you prefer a golden brown finish on the cheese.
- Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving hot.
