- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons peri-peri sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes. Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the peri-peri sauce, mixing well with the onions and garlic.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine, allowing it to simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place the cooked chicken back into the skillet, allowing it to soak up the creamy sauce for about 3-4 minutes.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning with more salt or peri-peri sauce if desired.
- Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
