Description
Easy Dijon Chicken in Garlic Wine Sauce: An Incredible 5-Step Recipe
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow the wine to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Mix well until the sauce is smooth.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each breast. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
