Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup white wine (such as Sauvignon Blanc)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
  4. Pour in the white wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Allow the wine to simmer for 2-3 minutes, then stir in the Dijon mustard and heavy cream. Mix well until the sauce is smooth.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each breast. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
