Description

Gourmet BLT Wraps with Secret Sauce

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 12 tbsp pickle relish
  • Pinch cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, chopped (optional)
  • 8 slices thick-cut beef bacon
  • 4 large flour tortillas (1012 inch)
  • 1 large ripe tomato, thinly sliced
  • 3/4 cup shredded lettuce
  • Optional: Thinly sliced avocado
  • Optional: Thinly sliced red onion
  • Optional: Microgreens or sprouts

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and pickle relish. Add cayenne (optional), salt, and pepper to taste. Fold in chives (optional). Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  2. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with foil, optionally placing an oven-safe wire rack on top. Arrange thick-cut beef bacon slices in a single layer. Bake for 15-25 minutes, or until desired crispness is achieved. Drain cooked beef bacon on paper towels and let cool; break into smaller pieces for easier eating in the wraps.
  3. Wash and thoroughly dry the lettuce; shred or chop into bite-sized pieces. Thinly slice the ripe tomato. Prepare any optional additions such as thinly slicing avocado, red onion, or preparing microgreens/sprouts.
  4. Briefly warm flour tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat (15-20 seconds per side) or in the microwave (10-15 seconds) to make them more pliable and easier to roll without cracking.
  5. Lay one warm tortilla flat on a clean work surface. Spread 1-2 tablespoons of the chilled secret sauce evenly across the tortilla, leaving about a 1-inch border. Layer with shredded lettuce, beef bacon pieces, and tomato slices. Add any optional avocado, red onion, or microgreens on top.
  6. To roll, fold in the sides of the tortilla over the filling (about 1-2 inches). Starting from the bottom edge, tightly roll the tortilla upwards, applying gentle but firm pressure to create a compact, cylindrical wrap. Slice each wrap diagonally in half to showcase the layers and serve immediately for the freshest taste and texture.
