Description

These delightful green-coated Grinch Oreo Balls bring festive fun and creamy flavor, topped with a cute red heart!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 ounces Red Velvet Oreos (2 packages of 12 ounces, use any Oreo flavor if desired)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened to room temperature for easier mixing)
  • 15 ounces light green candy melts (used for coating the truffles)
  • Red candy hearts (for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Crush the Oreo cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or blender, or place them in a zip-top bag and crush with a rolling pin.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and beat with an electric hand mixer on high speed until smooth and creamy.
  4. Add the Oreo crumbs to the cream cheese mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Use a 1.5-inch cookie scoop to portion the mixture, then roll each portion into smooth balls with your hands. Place them onto the prepared baking tray.
  6. Refrigerate the Oreo balls for at least 2 hours to firm up before dipping.
  7. Reserve ½ cup of candy melts to drizzle later if desired.
  8. Melt the candy melts in a double boiler over low heat, stirring frequently until completely smooth and melted. Be cautious not to overheat.
  9. Using a fork or toothpick, dip each Oreo ball into the melted candy, tapping the fork to remove excess coating. Place the coated balls back on the baking sheet.
  10. If desired, drizzle the remaining melted candy over the balls and immediately top with a red candy heart while the coating is still soft.
  11. Place the Oreo balls back in the refrigerator to set completely.
