- 1 pound Sweet Italian sausage links
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon Dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 1 package Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns
- 4 large Whole eggs
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Cook the crumbled sweet Italian sausage until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the flour and dry mustard. Gradually pour in the whole milk while stirring continuously. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it thicken into a creamy gravy, about 5 minutes.
- Shape the Simply Potatoes® Shredded Hash Browns into discs using a cookie cutter. Heat a Panini press or frying pan over medium-high heat and cook the discs until crispy and golden brown, about 4-5 minutes per side.
- Scramble the whole eggs in a non-stick skillet with a splash of milk until fluffy and cooked to your preference.
- Assemble your stacks by layering the crispy hash brown discs with scrambled eggs and a generous portion of cheddar cheese. Top with the warm sausage gravy.
