Description

The Honey Berry Kombucha Smash is a refreshing drink combining fresh blueberries and raspberries muddled with kombucha, honey, and ginger beer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
  • 1 12 ounce bottle kombucha (ginger or strawberry flavor recommended)
  • 4 ounces ginger beer
  • Fresh mint or basil leaves

Instructions

  1. Place the blueberries and honey in a saucepan over medium-low heat. Cook for 4 to 5 minutes until the blueberries burst and release their juices. Remove from heat and transfer to a jar or bowl.
  2. Add the fresh raspberries and about 1/2 cup of kombucha to the cooked blueberries. Muddle the mixture gently with the kombucha until the berries are somewhat smashed but still retain some texture.
  3. Fill two glasses with crushed ice to chill the drinks properly.
  4. Divide the smashed berry and kombucha mixture between the two glasses. Top each glass with additional kombucha, leaving a little space for the ginger beer.
  5. Pour ginger beer on top of each glass, then add a spoonful of the smashed berries mixture to the top. Garnish with fresh mint or basil leaves if desired.

Notes

  • Use fresh ingredients for the best flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by adding more or less honey.
  • Experiment with different flavors of kombucha.
