- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour (can use gluten-free flour)
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt (balances sweetness)
- 1 tablespoon Purple Gel Food Coloring
- 1 tablespoon Black Gel Food Coloring
- 1 cup Purple and Black or Chocolate Sprinkles
Instructions
- Cream together the unsalted butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes. Add in eggs and milk, mixing well.
- Gently divide the dough into three portions. Color one third with purple gel food coloring, split the remaining into black and white.
- Roll out the black dough into a rectangle, repeat with white, and stack them lightly.
- Roll out the purple dough into a rectangle, sprinkle with purple sprinkles, and roll it up tightly into a log.
- Place the purple log on one side of the black-and-white layers, roll to enclose it and form a spiral.
- Roll the log in sprinkles and chill it wrapped in plastic wrap for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the log into ¼-inch rounds, place on a baking sheet, and bake for 10 minutes.
- Allow cookies to cool on a wire rack. Enjoy warm or let cool completely.
