Description
A classic Italian lasagna with layers of rich meat sauce, creamy béchamel, and melted cheese.
Ingredients

- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, cooking until the onion is translucent.
- Add ground beef, season with oregano, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
- Stir in marinara sauce and simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, then ricotta cheese, and finally mozzarella.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
- Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 45 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
- Let it sit for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add fresh basil or spinach to the filling.
