This Pecan Praline Crunch is the ultimate sweet and salty snack. Made with pecans, brown sugar, and crunchy cereal, it’s an easy Southern treat perfect for holidays, parties, or gifting.

- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 box Quaker Oatmeal Squares (Brown Sugar flavor)
- 2 cups pecan halves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cereal and pecans.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and corn syrup until smooth and bubbling.
- Let it cook for about 2 minutes.
- Once it comes to a slow boil, add the baking soda and vanilla.
- Let it cook for about 1 minute.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cereal and pecans, stirring until everything is well coated.
- Spread evenly over the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Allow to cool completely before breaking into clusters.
- Store in an airtight container.
Notes
- Add pretzels for extra salty crunch.
- Mix in M&M’s, white chocolate chips, or toffee bits after baking for a fun twist.
- Almonds or cashews can be used instead of pecans.
