Description

Delicious Pink Sauce Pasta: A Comforting Homemade Delight

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz Pasta (Use your favorite type or gluten-free pasta.)
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil (Essential for sautéing garlic.)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Minced, sauté until golden.)
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Paste (Enhances umami flavor.)
  • 14 oz Crushed Tomatoes (Fresh or canned varieties.)
  • 1 cup Cream (For a creamy consistency.)
  • 2 tbsp Butter (For a luxurious finish.)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese (Dairy-free option for lactose-free.)
  • to taste Salt & Pepper (Essential seasonings.)
  • 1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (Optional, for a bold kick.)
  • to taste Fresh Basil (For garnish and freshness.)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden and fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Stir in the tomato paste and cook for a minute, then add crushed tomatoes. Allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  4. Lower the heat and mix in cream and butter, stirring until well combined and the sauce is blush pink, around 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season sauce with salt, pepper, and Parmesan cheese. Toss drained pasta in the sauce, adding reserved pasta water gradually.
  6. Dish up Pink Sauce Pasta into bowls and top with fresh basil or extra cheese. Optionally, sprinkle red pepper flakes for heat.
