- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups pretzel crumbs (or crushed pretzels)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing

- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper and lightly greasing it with cooking spray or oil.
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika.
- In three separate shallow bowls, set up your breading station: In the first bowl, place the all-purpose flour. In the second bowl, whisk together the eggs and Dijon mustard until well combined. In the third bowl, place the pretzel crumbs.
- Coat each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off any excess. Dip it into the egg mixture, ensuring it is completely covered. Press the chicken into the pretzel crumbs for an even coating.
- Place the breaded chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is golden brown.
- While the chicken is baking, prepare the sauce. In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and shredded cheddar cheese. Stir until the cheese is melted and smooth. Add more Dijon mustard to taste, along with salt and pepper.
- Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Serve the chicken with the warm mustard-cheddar sauce drizzled on top or on the side for dipping.
