- 500g chicken breast, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons black pepper, coarsely ground
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
- 1 bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the sliced chicken with soy sauce, oyster sauce, corn starch, and black pepper. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- In a large pan or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the marinated chicken to the pan. Stir-fry until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the minced garlic and grated ginger. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add the sliced bell pepper and onion to the pan. Stir-fry for another 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet crisp.
- Taste and add salt if needed. Remember that the soy sauce contributes to the saltiness.
- Stir in the chopped green onions just before serving for a fresh touch.
- Transfer to a serving dish and enjoy immediately.
