Description

Sweet & Spicy Sticky Chicken is a flavorful dish that combines the heat of Sriracha with the sweetness of honey.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • Chopped green onions, for garnish
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
  2. Make the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, Sriracha, minced garlic, minced ginger, and sesame oil until well combined.
  3. Marinate the Chicken: Add the chicken pieces to the sauce, ensuring they are fully coated. Allow it to marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the marinated chicken with the sauce. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through.
  5. Thicken the Sauce: In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Once the chicken is cooked, add the slurry to the skillet. Stir constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.
  6. Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Adjust the Sriracha based on your heat preference.
  • Letting the chicken marinate longer enhances the flavor.
  • Serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal.
