- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each), skin-on or skinless, patted dry
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (light or dark)
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce (sub tamari for gluten-free)
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted (sub neutral oil for dairy-free)
- 1 tablespoon honey (or maple syrup)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Place them skin-side down if skin is on.
- In a small bowl, whisk brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth.
- Place the salmon on the prepared sheet. Brush each fillet with half of the glaze.
- Bake for 8 minutes. Remove the pan and brush the fillets with the remaining glaze.
- Return to the oven and bake 8–10 more minutes until salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches 145°F (63°C).
- Remove from oven and let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
